Splish Splash Swim Lessons: Swim Instructor Job Opportunity
Splish Splash Swim Lessons, a thriving private swim lesson provider located in St. Petersburg, is excited to announce openings for two enthusiastic Swim Instructors for the upcoming summer season. If you are passionate about swimming and love teaching, we invite you to apply and join our team in fostering water safety and swimming skills across a range of ages, primarily focusing on infants (6 months) to children aged 10.
Position Details:
- Shifts Available: Morning (8 AM – 12 PM) and Evening (3 PM – 7 PM)
- Days: Monday through Thursday, with potential Friday sessions for weather-related make-ups.
- Location: All lessons are conducted in a private residential pool in Disston Heights neighborhood (North of Kenwood)
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Infant swimming survival skills.
- Teach swimming techniques, strokes, and water safety rules to students of varying abilities.
- Assist advanced swimmers in enhancing their techniques.
- Engage effectively with students’ families to ensure a supportive learning environment.
- Monitor students to ensure a safe and productive lesson experience.
- Correct improper swimming techniques and provide constructive feedback.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Infant and Adult CPR and First Aid. ( Or willing to obtain prior to teaching)
- Proficient swimming abilities and thorough knowledge of swimming techniques and safety.
- Strong communication skills and ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for teaching and genuine passion for swimming.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Compensation:
- $15 per 30-minute lesson, with up to 8 lessons possible within a 4-hour shift.
Duration:
- Seasonal (May – August)
